RABBI SAPERSTEIN: I want to thank you both. I want to thank all of you who were here today, my fellow Commissioners. This is a second remarkable hearing for this Commission. We have to, by May 1st, issue our first report with our first set of formal recommendations. We have been providing recommendations as necessary during the existence of the Commission since we began in June. We have to sum those up and do it more comprehensively by May 1st. This hearing was indispensable for us in addressing a country that has one of the most egregious and systemic patterns of persecution and discrimination. So we, the entire Commission, are deeply indebted to all of you and for your contribution to our work. Thank you very much, and we are adjourned. Tags: |
