Please join the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) for a virtual event assessing recent progress on religious freedom conditions in Sudan.

This virtual event will highlight the significant efforts by Sudan’s transitional government to advance freedom of religion or belief in that country, including the recent passage of the Fundamental Rights and Freedoms Act in July 2020. The discussion will also highlight USCIRF’s 2020 Annual Report recommendation to the U.S. Department of State to provide financial and technical assistance to support institutional reform efforts in Sudan. The moderated discussion will feature USCIRF’s two Vice Chairs and Sudan’s Minister of Religious Affairs, and will be followed by questions and answers from attendees.

  • Anurima Bhargava, Vice Chair, USCIRF
