The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has cited several African countries where freedom of worship is obstructed and related human rights trampled.

Eritrea , Sudan and Nigeria are named in the Eleventh Annual Report on Religious Freedom in the World which also lists Egypt and Somalia as countries behaving badly.
