Lhundrub Dragpa is imprisoned in relation to criticizing government policies impacting religious freedom.
In May 2019, public security officials in Driru (Biru) county, Nagchu (Naqu) municipality, Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), detained Dragpa, a singer, reportedly over a song he released in March 2019 critical of Chinese government policies in Driru. Dragpa was reportedly beaten and deprived of legal counsel while detained.
In June 2020, Dragpa was sentenced to six years in prison on unspecified charges.
