Bai Lijun was imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On February 11, 2019, authorities arrested Bai and another individuals reportedly in relation to their Falun Gong activity. The police reportedly searched both their homes and confiscated Falun Gong-related literature.
In March 2020, the Dehui City Court sentenced Bai to one year and six months in prison and fined her 5,000 yuan on unspecified charges.
On August 10, 2020 Bai was released from the Dehui Detention Center after completing her sentence.
