Bao Shuguang is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On June 1, 2017, public security officials from Zaozhuang municipality, Shandong province, detained Bao, a church leader, after accusing her of organizing religious meetings, preaching, and being in possession of religious materials on electronic devices.
On October 22, 2018, the Zaozhuang Intermediate People's Court sentenced Bai to 13 years in prison, four years' deprivation of political rights, and imposed a fine of 130,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Bao is believed to be serving her sentence at Shandong Women’s Prison.
