Zheng Shihong is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On October 17, 2016, the police in Weifang city, Shandong province, detained Zheng reportedly in relation to her religious belief, religious leadership role, organizing of and participating in church gatherings, using electronics for proselytizing purposes, and organizing Christians to write about their spirituality.
On August 9, 2017, the Kuiwen District People’s Court in Weifang, Shandong, sentenced him Zheng to eight years in prison and fined her 50,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Zheng is believed to be serving his sentence at Shandong Women’s Prison.
