In May 2025, 15-year-old Megwhar, a Hindu girl from Rohri Taluka, Sukkur District, was abducted at gunpoint by three armed men who broke into her family's home in the middle of the night. She was forcibly converted to Islam, renamed "Hajra," and married. Her abductor brought her to Barkondi Sharif in District Ghotki, and she produced an affidavit claiming she converted and married of her own free will. Her father filed a first information report (FIR) at Jhangro Police Station, but police authorities failed to recover Meghwar or produce her in court.

Jessica Iqbal was subjected to forced renunciation of faith.
In April 2025, Iqbal, a Christian girl from Lahore, was abducted from her home by a neighbor. Her father subsequently filed a first information report (FIR).
In May 2025, she appeared before a court and testified that she converted to Islam and married voluntarily. During court proceedings, Jessica was reluctant to say the Kalima (Islamic conversion proclamation) or answer questions about Islam, raising doubts that her conversion was uncoerced. Her parents reported that Jessica, after making her statement, told them she was "fearful for [their] lives."

Alina Khalid was subjected to forced renunciation of faith.
In June 2024, 14-year-old Khalid, a Christian girl from Islamabad, was abducted from her home by a neighbor. She was later converted to Islam and married, with her age shown as 19 on the marriage certificate. Her father, a sanitary worker, filed a first information report (FIR), and police recovered Khalid in July, placing her in the custody of the Child Protection Bureau.
In September 2024, the District Commissioner handed custody of Khalid from the CPB to the man who abducted her. The court's decision relied primarily on Khalid's testimony before the Magistrate that she was an adult and had converted and married of her own free will. In the proceedings, the court ignored multiple petitions filed by her father, dismissed allegations that her statement was coerced, and disregarded her NADRA-issued birth certificate, which verified her age was 14.
