In July 2021, Zeng was reportedly sentenced to five years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan.

Patras Masih was detained for blasphemy.
On February 19, 2018, authorities arrested Masih after he was accused of posting a perceived-blasphemous image on Facebook a few days before. Following the accusation, a mob gathered outside of Masih's neighborhood and threatened to burn it down, despite him not being there. Police reportedly arrested several of Masih's family members before arresting him. He was charged with "insulting the Prophet Muhammad" (Sec. 295-C PPC).
There are reports that authorities tortured Masih and his cousin, Sajid Masih, into confessing.
On August 24, 2022, it was reported that the Supreme Court had granted Masih bail.
On August 27, 2022, Masih was reportedly released on bail.
