On August 29, 2016, authorities detained Wang in Bengbu city while he was at a church gathering, filming church videos.
In July 2018, the Yuhui District People’s Court of Bengbu City, Anhui Province, sentenced Wang to five years and six months in prison for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL) and forgery (Art. 215 CCL). He was fined 10,000 yuan.
Wang's sentence should have ended in February 2022.

Zhu Jinlian is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On September 30, 2017, police from Pingyuan dounty, Shandong province, detained Zhu reportedly in relation to her religious leadership role, organizing of worship meetings, evangelizing efforts, and possession of religious of religious materials. Authorities reportedly found religious materials at her home.
On July 12, 2018, the Pingyuan People’s Court sentenced Zhu to eight years in prison and fined her 10,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Zhu is believed to be serving her sentence in Shandong Women’s Prison.
