Radmir Maksutov is imprisoned for his religious belief and activity.
On February 4, 2015, authorities arrested Maksutov after accusing him of being a member of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. He was initially charged with “participating in the activities of an organization…recognized as terrorist” (Art. 205.5-2 RCC).
In January 2016, Maksutov was also charged with "preparing for actions aimed at the forcible seizure of power or the forcible retention of power” (Art. 30-1/Art. 278 RCC).
On July 30, 2018, the Volga District Military Court sentenced Maksutov to 10 years in prison and one year of restricted freedom for “participating in the activities of an organization…recognized as terrorist” (Art. 205.5-2 RCC) and "preparing for actions aimed at the forcible seizure of power or the forcible retention of power” (Art. 30-1/Art. 278 RCC). Maksutov was also fined 400,000 rubles.

Bulat Makhmutov is imprisoned for his religious belief and activity.
On September 27, 2016, authorities arrested Makhmutov in Kazan after accusing him of being involved in the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. Prosecutors alleged that Makhmutov had led a cell for the organization, held meetings, studied its literature, and sought to attract new members.
On June 5, 2017, the Privolzhsky District Military Court sentenced Makhmutov to 16 years in prison and one year of restricted freedom for "organizing the activities of an organization…recognized as terrorist" (Art. 205.5-1 RCC) and “participating in the activities of an organization…recognized as terrorist” (Art. 205.5-2 RCC).
On October 6, 2017, Makhmutov's sentence was reduced by two months to 15 years and ten months in prison.
Makhmutov has a child.

On July 3, 2017, Magomedov was sentenced to nine years in prison and one year of restricted freedom reportedly for “participating in the activities of an organization…recognized as terrorist” (Art. 205.5-2 RCC), “participating in the activities of a public or religious association, or any other organization in respect of which a court has adopted a final decision to liquidate or ban activities in connection with extremist activities” (Art. 282.2-2 RCC), "inciting others to commit crimes envisioned under Article 278 of the Russian Criminal Code" (Art. 205.1-1 RCC), "preparing for actions aimed at the forcible seizure of power or the forcible retention of power” (Art. 30-1/Art. 278 RCC), and “illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of firearms, their main parts and ammunition” (Art. 222-1 RCC).
Magomedov is married with two children.
