On November 6, 2018, the People’s Court of Baihe County sentenced Li to seven years in prison and fined her 20,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Li was sent to Shaanxi Women’s Prison to serve her sentence.

On September 20, 2018, the Yanling County People’s Court sentenced Lin to seven years in prison and fined her 5,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
On October 29, 2018, the Intermediate People’s Court in Xuchang rejected Lin's appeal.
Lin was taken to Zhengzhou Women’s Prison in Henan to serve her sentence.
