Liu Jifang was imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On September 17, 2017, officers from the Lishi District Public Security Bureau of Luliang city detained Liu reportedly in relation to her religious belief and photocopying of religious materials.
On June 25, 2018, the Lishi District People’s Court of Luliang city sentenced Liu to five years in prison and fined her 10,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Liu was sent to Shanxi Women's Prison to serve her sentence.
Liu's sentence should have ended in September 2022.

On March 20, 2015, officers from the Feng County Public Security Bureau in Jiangsu province detained Hu reportedly in relation to her religious leadership role, storing religious materials, and efforts to organize gatherings and evangelizing activities. There is reporting that Hu was tortured during her interrogations.
On October 26, 2016, the Feng County People’s Court of Jiangsu Province sentenced Hu to five years in prison and fined her 20,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Hu is believed to have served her sentence at Nantong City Women’s Prison, Jiangsu.
