On June 25, 2015, the Feng County People’s Court sentenced Yuan to seven years in prison for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Yuan's sentence should have ended in August 2021.

On March 9, 2018, the Jiaozhou People’s Court sentenced Jiang to seven years in prison and fined her 50,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Jiang is believed to be serving her sentence at Shandong Women’s Prison.
