Ro Ma Daih is imprisoned for his religious activity.
In September 2016, authorities arrested Daih for being affiliated with the Degar Protestant Church, a church not approved by the government. Authorities accused him of using his religion as a cover to revive an insurgent group opposed to the government. Daih was subsequently charged with "undermining national unity policy" (Art. 87/1999 VCC).
Daih's trial occurred in April 2017. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and three to five years' probation.

In October 2015, authorities arrested Tik for participating in a religious group not approved by the government. Authorities accused Tik and other Ha Mon Catholics of separatist activities. He was subsequently charged with "undermining national unity policy" (Art. 87/1999 VCC).
In April 2016, the People’s Court of Gia Lai Province sentenced Tik to eight years in prison and three to five years' probation.
Tik's sentence should have ended in October 2023.
