In May 2025, Pakistani authorities arrested Ayaz Hussain, along with another Ahmadi, Ijaz Hussain, for offering Friday prayers. During his court hearing the next day, authorities denied him bail, and he was dragged out of the courtroom and beaten by a mob. Authorities charged him under Pakistan Penal Code Sections 295 and 298.
