Cai Jinfeng was imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On July 2, 2017, officers from the Lishui City Public Security Bureau of Zhejiang province detained Cai in relation to her religious beliefs and religious leadership role.
On March 1, 2018, Liandu District People’s Court in Lishui city sentenced Cai to six years in prison and fined her 20,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Cai's sentence should have ended in July 2023.
