Ehsan Masih is imprisoned and sentenced to death for alleged blasphemy. 

In August 2023, authorities arrested Masih and accused him of reposting on TikTok a photo of a desecrated page of the Quran. The image had already circulated widely online and sparked riots in Jaranwala, during which mobs burned more than 100 Christian churches and homes. Authorities charged him on multiple counts of blasphemy, hate speech, and terrorism, arguing that his repost could have incited further sectarian violence. 

In June 2024, Judge Zia Ullah Khan of the Anti-Terrorism Court in Sahiwal sentenced him to death by hanging for blasphemy (Sec. 295-C PPC).
