Jiang Liangjiao is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.

On April 13, 2017, officers from the Jiaozhou Public Security Bureau detained Jiang reportedly while she was attending a worship service in Yanghe town, Jiaozhou city, Qingdao city, Shandong province.

On March 9, 2018, the Jiaozhou People’s Court sentenced Jiang to seven years in prison and fined her 50,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).

Jiang is believed to be serving her sentence at Shandong Women’s Prison.
