Ksor Phit is imprisoned for his religious activity.
In 2016, authorities arrested Phit, a deacon, for participating in a religious group not approved by the government. Authorities accused him of establishing branches of a separatist organization through his religious activities. Phit was subsequently charged with "undermining national unity policy" (Art. 87/1999 VCC).
Later in 2016, Phit was sentenced to 11 years in prison and three to five years' probation.
