Ksor Ruk is imprisoned for his religious activity.
On October 30, 2018, authorities arrested Ruk, a missionary and religious leader. Authorities accused him of reviving Degar Protestantism, a religious movement not approved by the government. They also accused him of encouraging separatist activities through his religious activities.
In March 2019, Ruk was tried and sentenced to ten years in prison and three to five years' probation for "undermining national unity policy" (Art. 87/1999 VCC).
Ruk has previously been imprisoned for his religious activity. He was imprisoned from 2007 to 2013 for allegedly "undermining national unity policy" (Art. 87/1999 VCC).
