Li Fasheng is imprisoned for his religious belief and activity.
On April 14, 2019, officers from the Dongxiang District Public Security Bureau in Fuzhou city, Jiangxi province, detained Li reportedly in relation to his religious belief and producing of evangelizing videos.
On December 20, 2019, the Linchuan District People’s Court in Fuzhou sentenced Li to seven years in prison and fined him 30,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
