Li Yongxin was imprisoned for publicly promoting his religion.
In August 2019, authorities arrested Li for putting up Falun Gong flyers.
In January 2020, the Lanshan District Court reportedly sentenced Li to four years for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300).
Li's sentence should have ended in August 2023.
Li was reportedly imprisoned and tortured previously for his adherence to Falun Gong.
