In May 2024, Russian authorities arrested Minenkova for organizing Falun Gong activities, including identifying new members and studying banned religious literature. 

On July 23, 2025, authorities convicted her of carrying out activities of an organization deemed undesirable and sentenced her to 4 years' imprisonment.
