Victim NP-0374 is imprisoned for their religious activity and association. 

In 2001, North Korean officials detained NP-0374, along with 29 other North Koreans, after they were refouled from China. Chinese authorities had discovered a Bible among the group and beat them when no one confessed to owning it. When they were refouled, North Korean officials confined NP-0374 and others at North Pyongan Provincial MSS Detention Center and subjected them to invasive cavity searches. 

Authorities sentenced NP-0374 to indefinite imprisonment at a political prison camp.
