On November 5, 2013, authorities detained Sun in Yaohai district, Hefei city, Anhui province, reportedly in relation to her burning of CDs containing religious content.

On December 8, 2014, the Yaohai District People’s Court of Hefei City, Anhui Province sentenced Sun to seven years and six months in prison for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).

Sun was sent to Anhui Women’s Prison to serve her sentence.

Sun's sentence should have ended in May 2021.

On October 30, 2015, authorities detained Fang in Fuzhou City Dongtai city, Jiangsu province, reportedly in relation to his arranging of religious gatherings, preaching, and transportation of religious literature. Authorities are said to have confiscated religious materials and documents from his home. 

On December 7, 2016, Fang was sentenced to eight years in prison for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).

It is reported that Fang was tortured while detained.

Fang's sentence should have ended in October 2023.

Liang Qin

Liang Qin is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity. 

In late 2016 (around September), Yunnan authorities detained Liang and several colleagues.  They were formally arrested on November 25, 2016. Authorities alleged that the Liang and her colleagues belonged to the “Three Grades of Servants Sect” and conducted illicit religious activities.

On December 28, 2017, the Yun County People’s Court sentenced Liang to ten years in prison and fined her 100,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
