Radik Talipov is imprisoned for his religious activity. 

On June 22, 2021, authorities in Ufa detained several people, including Talipov, for their alleged membership to the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. Investigators claim Talipov held meetings for the organization, discussed Islam, and recruited members to the organization. Religious literature was allegedly seized from Talipov's home. Talipov was charged with “participating in the activities of an organization…recognized as terrorist” (Art. 205.5-2 RCC).

On July 12, 2023, the Central District Military Court sentenced Talipov to 12 years in prison.
