Wang Fuhua was imprisoned for her religious activity.
On October 3, 2018, authorities arrested Wang and several of her colleagues after accusing them of talking to people about Falun Gong.
In mid-October 2018, Wang was released on bail.
In late November 2018, Wang was taken back into custody.
In May 2019, the Anda City Court reportedly sentenced Wang to two years in prison and fined her 10,000 yuan. She was later transferred to Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison.
On an unspecified date, the Suihua City Intermediate Court reportedly rejected Wang's appeal.
Wang was reportedly physically assaulted by inmates and forced into uncomfortable bodily positions while imprisoned.
On November 6, 2020, Wang was released from prison after completing her sentence.
